First MAN/Plaxton goes to Applegates

Article Image

THE FIRST MAN with Plaxton Panther body has been delivered to Applegates Supreme Travel of Berkeley, Gloucestershire.

The MAN/Plaxton combination is available only from Mentor Coach & Bus, where sales director Bill Povey says: "The availability of Plaxton bodywork on the R33 MAN chassis creates a very attractive product and will open doors to new customers."

The introduction of the MAN/Plaxton combination is a move which all parties see as offering operators more choice and further strengthening the position of Mentor, Plaxton and MAN in the UK coach market.

Frank Applegate, managing director of Applegates, adds: "We currently operate a range of coaches which include some MANs and Plaxton coaches and we have always been impressed with the quality of these coaches. This is one of the reasons we chose the new MAN Plaxton Panther."
