First restructures South West and Wales

Article Image

First UK Bus has restructured its South West and Wales region to create four business units, each headed by a managing director reporting directly to UK Bus chief operating officer JEROEN WEIMAR.
Taking over at First Cymru is JUSTIN DAVIES, previously regional managing director for the South West and Wales. PAUL MATTHEWS, service delivery director in Bristol, temporarily takes over the Bristol and Avon area pending a permanent appointment.

MARC REDDY has been appointed as managing director for Hampshire, Dorset and Berkshire. He will be supported by CHRIS BAINBRIDGE, who was service delivery director for the South Coast. The Berkshire business was previously controlled by managing director ADRIAN JONES, who also runs First London. Jones is currently working on the transfer of First London to new owners Tower Transit, after which he will rejoin First’s senior management team.

A new director for Devon, Cornwall and Somerset has also been appointed, ALEX CARTER. Carter has spent the past six months working with First on business development, and was previously MD of Go-Ahead’s Wilts & Dorset business from 2003 to 2011. He will be supported by general manager for Devon and Cornwall, ROBBIE LAMERTON.
