New Esteem single-deck from East Lancs

Article Image

EAST LANCS has unveiled its new single-deck body, Esteem, with the first model on Scania’s first Euro 4 EGR chassis for the UK. The Esteem represents a new era for East Lancs which has brought vehicle design and development in-house for the new model that will also appear on VDL, Dennis and MAN chassis in due course.

The launch vehicle is a single-door, 10.6m long version and has 30 fixed cantilever seats and three tip-ups, full air-conditioning, CCTV and bonded glazing. Among the pre-launch orders for Esteem is one for seven 12m vehicles on Scania chassis for Preston Bus. Other early-adopters of the Esteem include Metrobus and Thames Travel.
