Tri-axle Sprinter announced

Mercedes-Benz will unveil a tri-axle version of its Sprinter low-floor minibus, the Sprinter City 77, at this month’s IAA show in Hanover. The bus is 8.7m long, has a 6.8 tonne GVW and can carry up to 40 people. There is air suspension on the rear axles.

The bus is 1.99m wide. Mercedes sees potential for the bigger Sprinter on rural and inner city services, as well as on specialised work such as airport shuttle services.
