Digifobpro from Stoneridge Electronics

Article Image

Stoneridge Electronics has launched its Digifobpro which is larger than the existing Digifob and features an LCD screen that enables easier access to driver card and digital tachograph data.
The Digifobpro allows the user to selectively download data from a digital tachograph, rather than having to wait for a full download. The data can be transferred to a PC for on-screen data management and can be viewed with speed trace information, faults and events and incremental and date-ranged activity. With rechargeable batteries and a robust construction, the unit gives access to data wherever a driver is located.

Stoneridge describes it as “the new must-have tool to keep you legal”.

By inserting the driver card into the Digifobpro, the display shows last activity, daily rest, weekly summary and infringements using industry standard icons. And it automatically summarises working time by week and calculates daily rest and break infringements based on the card data.

Digifob and digifobpro add to the Stoneridge range of tachograph-related products which include its OPTACTM Download Tool, again designed with simplicity in mind. The tool takes all the complexities out of downloading data from driver cards and digital tachographs and can hold up to 500 smart cards or 20 full tachographs before having to transfer the data onto a computer where, with the help of the OPTAC software, the data can be stored, viewed and even analysed depending on which OPTAC package is being used.

There are three OPTAC software packages. The OPTAC Fleet Viewer package is a simple and cost effective solution aimed at owner-drivers, which allows the user to download, store and view all driver and vehicle activity data. OPTAC+ has the added advantage of automatically analysing the data against the Driver’s Hours’ Regulations and the Working Time Directive, and OPTAC2 is ideal for larger operators with mixed analogue and digital tachographs who want to perform tachograph, chart and smartcard analysis.

For anyone who may find the technology overwhelming Stoneridge also offers customer and technical support in 7 different languages as well as a comprehensive training repertoire to cover Digital Tachographs and OPTAC products.
