ADL appoints new chief executive

Article Image

COLIN ROBERTSON is to succeed Jim Hastie as chief executive at Alexander Dennis. Hastie retires after three years leading the new company.

The announcement of a new CEO comes as Alexander Dennis reports likely turnover and profit increase for 2006 and a £100million order book.

Robertson, 42, is currently executive vice president at Terex Corporation and has previous experience at Cummins and Case.

"Occasionally in life an opportunity comes along and you say to yourself 'I have to be part of this'. That is exactly what happened to me when the prospect of taking over the reins at ADL arose," says Robertson.

Hastie adds: "It has been a privilege to be part of the recovery process at ADL".
