Guildford in Surrey reports that it is increasing in popularity as a destination for coach day trips and short breaks. Its proximity to London and easy access from the M25 and A3 means it can be reached in around one hour from many destinations throughout the south/south-east. There is a wide choice of hotels to make the perfect package for a short break or long weekend.

Guildford is surrounded by the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and rich in stately homes and gardens with no fewer than 12 National Trust venues in the area, as well as the privately-owned Loseley Park. Other popular attractions include Brooklands Museum, Denbies Wine Estate, Hogs Back Brewery and several sculpture parks.

Coach groups can link one of these attractions with a visit into Guildford Town  which has many town centre heritage sites that are free to attend, including Guildford Museum, Guildford House Gallery, The Undercroft, The Guildhall and the Castle Gardens.

For £3 per head groups can be accompanied by a Guildford Town Guide, and there are also three undercover shopping malls to choose from if the weathers turns as well as café’s and restaurants serving a range of local produce.
