Transport technology show ITT Hub 2020, which is scheduled for May 2020, reports that more than 45 per cent of initial stand space has been sold, with a number of key exhibitors committing to the new event at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre with a total of more than 5,500m2 of space reserved.
Confirmed exhibitors include Arrival, Dawson Group, Mercedes Benz, TotalKare and Volvo Group UK. In addition, five other companies are finalising their plans and have reserved vehicle space.
“The response that we have had since the launch of ITT Hub 2020 just four months ago has been incredible”, says Binswood Media CEO Mark Griffin. “Whether attending the launch event or visiting Farnborough separately on a site visit, without exception everyone has been bowled over with the facilities on offer for both exhibitors and visitors.
“What has also been clear from feedback to date is that our proposition – to provide a new and innovative event for all modes of transport – cars and trains excepted – in a cost-effective format, has been exceptionally well received by the market.”
A 25-strong advisory board has now been established to act as a consultative body in the planning of the event, including representatives from Arthur J Gallagher, Centrica Business Solutions, Chartered Institute of Highways, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Department for Transport, Farnborough International, Freight Transport Association, Highways England, Highways UK, Innovate UK, KPMG, Lloyds Banking Group, the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership, Lucketts Travel, Midlands Connect, National Grid, RAC Foundation, Renewable Energy Association, Transport Systems Catapult, Transport for the South East and TRL.
Leon Daniels OBE, Binswood Media chair, adds: “Since its launch, I am delighted to say that we have captured the imagination and support from a large number of organisations and companies, who want to be part of an event that showcases the latest innovations and technologies that are now the new reality in transport.
“The key focus of ITT Hub 2020 will be on energy, data, connectivity, policy, sustainability and transport across all aspects of the exhibition and seminars. It will be unique, as the suppliers of trucks, mini buses, buses, coaches, vans, taxis, autonomous/unmanned vehicles, intelligent transport, power/propulsion come together under one umbrella.
“Feedback to date confirms that there is huge desire for collaboration and thought leadership aligned to the Government’s ‘Road to Zero’ campaign. By bringing together forward-thinking individuals and organisations who can help us define and shape this new industry event, the ITT Hub Advisory Board will play an important collaborative role in the run up to the inaugural exhibition in May 2020.”
